Objectives

The basic objectives of the RPF Fellowship project EMEDZOO are as follows:

•    To conduct spatial surveys of zooplankton taxa, abundance, and biomass around Cyprus for the first time
•    To measure the zooplankton reproductive response (growth rates) to different environmental conditions
•    To compare our measurements with satellite-based algorithms of zooplankton productivity
•    To evaluate our findings in the context of historical data on zooplankton communities in eastern Mediterranean Sea
