Yiannis works as a Computational support Scientist in the Environmental Predictions Department of the Climate and Atmosphere Research Excellence Center (CARE-C) of CyI. Yiannis has a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics (2007) from the Ohio State University (Columbus OH, USA).
Research Interests
His most recent research interests include: High performance computing and applications in atmospheric and climate science modelling, climate change impacts (e.g., vector borne disease, heat extremes, ...), numerical weather prediction at global and regional scales, air-quality modelling, atmospheric dynamics, climate data analysis and geo-spatial visualization.
