Abstract
Despite the modern advances in the available computational resources, the length and time scales of the physical systems that can be studied in full atomic detail, via molecular simulations, are still limited. Hierarchical multi-scale modeling offers a way forward by combining different levels of resolution.
In his presentation, Dr. Christofi will showcase how deep learning can enhance these models, enabling more accurate and efficient simulations of complex molecular systems. He will discuss recent developments and their potential to advance research in materials science and molecular design.
About the Speaker
Dr. Eleftherios Christofi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Cyprus Institute, working on deep learning and multiscale modeling for complex molecular systems.
His research focuses on physics-informed machine learning, polymer simulations, and generative models for molecular structures.
He holds a PhD in Computational Sciences from The Cyprus Institute, and degrees in Applied and Pure Mathematics from the University of Crete.
