CyI Women in STEAM

Marketing Strategy

The Cyprus Institute's Targeted Marketing Strategy for showcasing women in STEAM addresses gender underrepresentation in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics fields by amplifying authentic success stories of its female students, alumni, and staff to inspire younger generations and boost participation in postgraduate programs. Targeting primary audiences such as girls in late-secondary education, early-career women researchers, and secondary groups including families, educators, and media, the strategy leverages thematic statements emphasizing CyI's inclusive environment and women's leadership in innovation. Key components include storytelling through past initiatives like the 2018 CyI Women in STEM videos, engagements such as the sCYence Fair, recruitment via internships and events like 2025's Empowered by Science, and annual celebrations for International Women’s Day with features like the 2022 event. Expected outcomes involve heightened visibility of women's contributions, increased female enrollment, and reinforced commitment to gender equality under CyI's Gender Equality Plan and HR Excellence framework.
