2nd Meeting
“Smart bioclimatic low-carbon urban areas as innovative energy isles in the sustainable city”
From the 10th to the 12th of October 2016 the 2nd meeting of the European Research Project SUI (Smart Urban Isles), was held in Amsterdam. The meeting was organized by the Delft University of Technology and all nine Partner were represented. The Cyprus Institute was represented by Professor Despina Serghides, who is the scientific responsible of the project.
During the meeting the results from the analysis up until now and the proposed next steps were presented for each case study. After the individual presentations an open discussion followed on the future development plan, focusing on the approach for the SUI concept and the interrelation between the 3 blocks (bioclimatic, mini-networks and energy management).
Also, a visit to the case study in Amsterdam was realized through which the participants improved their understanding of the area.
