Dr. Angelos Evangelou is a Scientific Coordinator at the Energy, Environment & Water Research Center (EEWRC). He holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Southampton, specializing in fatigue and oxidation in nickel-based superalloys.
He has extensive experience in research and development within the field of advanced materials, focusing on metallic alloys, composite materials and additive manufacturing. He has managed numerous research projects in both academia and industry securing over €2 million in research funding. He has collaborated with several stakeholders within the field of advanced materials and manufacturing and has established the first metallic additive manufacturing laboratory in Cyprus.
He maintains active roles in teaching and as a visiting academic for the University of Southampton.
