Konstantinos (Kostas) Christodoulou is currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) of the Cyprus Institute, focusing on Atmospheric Sciences. In his current role, Kostas aims to project estimates of energy production from solar panels and wind turbines in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East (EMME) region. He investigates how future conditions, such as changes in clouds, aerosols, drier conditions, higher temperatures, land desertification, and emission changes, will impact renewable energy production in light of climate change.

Prior to this role, Kostas was involved with the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), where he contributed to projects within Environmental Studies. This included research on marine/maritime studies examining sea current velocities in the Eastern Mediterranean and a project focused on the analysis of lidar data to study atmospheric particles over Limassol, Cyprus.

For his Ph.D., Kostas used high-order finite element methods to effectively solve acoustical wave problems described by the Helmholtz Equation. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Applied Mathematical Sciences.
