Kenneth Tschorn is a PhD candidate at CARE-C within the European Union funded Dust-DN network. He holds a BSc in Geography and a MSc degree in Geography (specification: environmental systems in change) by the University of Bonn, Germany. During his studies, he completed one ERASMUS+ semester at the University of Bergen (Norway), and another one at Norwegians University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Trondheim, Norway).

 

At his previous position he worked as research associate at the University of Bonn within a long-term air quality monitoring program at the UNESCO world heritage area Geirangerfjord, Norway. His research interests are atmospheric aerosols, in particular particulate matter and mineral dust. His research at CARE-C focuses on the morphological characteristics of mineral dust investigated by a combination of in-situ and remote sensing methods.
