Christos Constantinides, joined the Energy, Environment and Water Research Center (EEWRC) as a Software Developer for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in March 2019. He received a BSc degree with honor in Computer Science at University of Crete (2011) and a MSc degree in Software Engineering at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh (2012).
He has more than 7 years of experience in the private sector as a Software Developer, Senior Software Developer, Software Development Specialist and Technical Leader. In the EEWRC he is involved with the software development of custom Flight Controllers, Ground Control Stations and IoT devices. He develops software for user friendly automated UAS operation, as well as software related with payload (scientific instruments, sensors) for airborne remote operation, real-time data handling, etc.
Finally, he contributes to the development of “UAS – Sensor Systems” tailor-made for specific applications where he applies his software development skills for programming the novel airborne hardware.
