Ourania Markou is a Project Officer at the CARE-C Center. She holds a Master’s Degree in Methodology, Practice and Evaluation in Education from the University of Nicosia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Pedagogy from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Ourania has prior experience working in the NGO sector and consulting industry, where she has held roles as an EU Project Manager, Researcher, and Operations and Communication Manager. She worked in a non-profit organization, which supports the commercialization of scientific research. She was responsible for the marketing and operational activities, and she was involved in managing two EU projects, Horizon and Digital Europe. Previously, she managed EU-funded Erasmus+ projects that address social issues in education, diversity, inclusion, and digital technologies.
Additionally, she contributed to national educational research as a seasonal research assistant at the Centre for Educational Research and Evaluation (CERE) of the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute. She has also volunteered for CSR Committees, organizing and participating in charity initiatives.
