Dr. Maria Gavrouzou is currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) of the Cyprus Institute. She holds a Physics diploma (2017) and a MSc degree in Atmospheric Physics (2019) from University of Ioannina, Physics Department, Laboratory of Meteorology. In 2023, she received her P.h.D in Atmospheric Physics from University of Ioannina. Her research interests are focused in atmospheric aerosols and their radiation and cloud interactions and climate change resilience and adaptation. She also has programming skills in Python, IDL, FORTRAN, C++ and experience in data collection and analysis.
Maria has been involved in Horizon Projects aimed to assess the climate risk and resilience and to propose adaptation measures to enhance the preparedness and responsiveness of people and infrastructures against natural and climatic hazards.
