Nikolaos Patsalidis

Nikolaos Patsalidis is a new PhD student under the simEA project. His current research is about Multi-scale Modeling and Machine Learning Algorithms for Predicting the Mechanical Properties of Complex Materials. Nikolaos Patsalidis studied Mechanical Engineering at National Technical University of Athens. He graduated with an integrated Master's with specialization in Air and Ground Transport Vehicles. In his thesis he developed a multi-objective-optimization algorithm and applied it in aerodynamic applications, where he developed an innovative gradient-based method to solve up to three-objective optimization problems.
