Malak Barakat

Malak holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master's degree specialized in Composite Materials from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Engineering. During her Master's thesis, she came as a visiting student to The Cyprus Institute where she worked on the computation of mechanical properties of graphene-reinforced polymer nanocomposites using Molecular Dynamics Simulations.

Currently, Malak is enrolled in a Joint PhD Program between the Doctoral School of Sciences and Technology at the Lebanese University and The Cyprus Institute where she will be working on failure analysis in polymer nanocomposites using atomistic Molecular Dynamics simulations and Finite Element modeling approaches.
