Andreas Pattichis

Andreas Pattichis

Andreas Pattichis is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Fellow at the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC) of The Cyprus Institute (CyI), pursuing a PhD within the MSCA Doctoral Networks project FINALITY (saFe learNIng for lArge scaLe InTerconnected sYstems), funded by the European Union. His research focuses on foundational machine learning and continual learning.
 
He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence through the fully funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Artificial Intelligence (EMAI). He graduated with honors, completing his studies across Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK. His MSc thesis was conducted with Giga, the UNICEF–ITU initiative in Barcelona, where he worked on improving AI-driven school mapping with low-cost satellite imagery and cross-country knowledge distillation, contributing to Giga’s mission of connecting every school to the internet by 2030.
