The event provides the opportunity to all stakeholders to discuss the progress made so far in meeting the objectives set by the European Union regarding the green transition with a particular focus on the prospects of using solar energy in industrial applications.
As the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union has set advancing the green transition as one of its main priorities, the event highlights the framework of cooperation between the two countries in matters of policy, technology, know-how and applications. Specifically, experts from Spain and Cyprus will discuss policy issues, joint initiatives and actions in the field of solar energy and energy storage. Furthermore, during the event there will be an opportunity to learn more about collaborative projects which have been implemented in Cyprus by research organizations and local companies.
A panel discussion will follow with representatives of ministries, academic and research institutions, private companies and societal stakeholders on the lessons learnt from the Spanish experience to advance solar energy deployment in the industry of Cyprus.
