Two STARC faculty have been named among the top scholars in Archaeology for 2024 by ScholarGPS, a U.S.-based scholarly analytics platform that evaluates academic performance based on publications, citations, and h-index impact across disciplines.

Assoc. Professor Efthymia Nikita (ranked #17) and Professor Thilo Rehren, the A. G. Leventis Chair in Archaeological Sciences (ranked #109) have been systematically classified as top scholars in Archaeology since 2022, based on their research output over the past five years.

This ranking places them among the top 0.5% of scholars in their areas of expertise, reflecting their standing among the leading scholars in archaeology globally. This recognition is a testament to CyI’s research excellence and a highlight of the impactful contributions of its faculty.
