Minas Constantinou studied Veterinary Bioscience at the University of Surrey and completed a placement year in various departments of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment in Cyprus. His thesis focused on utilising bats as a biological pest control mechanism, in collaboration with WWF Italia. After earning his BSc in Veterinary Bioscience, Minas pursued a master’s degree in Food Science and Food Biotechnology at the University of Leeds, where he was awarded the prize for Best Finalist MSci Food Science (Biotech) Student. Additionally, Minas holds a CMI Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma.
 
He has worked for various companies in the UK within the Food and Fresh Produce industry, taking on roles in new product development for one of the biggest retailers in the UK, sustainability positions, as well as data analysis and project management roles for one of the largest crop protection companies in the world. Upon returning to Cyprus, Minas joined the Research and Innovation Management and Support Office (RIMS) of the Cyprus Institute as a Project Officer in August 2024.
