Christina joined the Graduate School and the Water Department of the Energy, Environment, and Water Research Center (EEWRC) at the Cyprus Institute as a PhD Student/Graduate Research Fellow in October 2024.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability from the University of Glasgow and a Master’s degree in Environmental Pollution and Remediation from the University of Aberdeen.
Christina’s previous research focused on soil pollution, land remediation, and ecotoxicity, providing her with a robust understanding of critical environmental issues in terrestrial ecosystems.
At The Cyprus Institute, her current research focuses on integrated desertification assessment, where she aims to evaluate existing land management practices and explore innovative solutions to promote sustainable agriculture in southern Europe and northern Africa.
