Konstantinos is a passionate and curious learner with a deep interest in understanding how the world works, particularly in the field of renewable energy systems. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at the Northumbria University of Newcastle, where he gained practical experience through hands-on research and internships, as well as strong academic foundations in topics like photovoltaics, quantum devices, and thermal energy.

His placement at the PROTEAS research facility of The Cyprus Institute allowed him to engage in significant projects, such as modeling the power smart grid and calculating the side effects of Linear Fresnel Collectors located in Nicosia.

Throughout his academic journey, he also had the privilege of contributing to research papers in leading journals such as Elsevier's Applied Energy journal.
His skills were further developed during his experience as an analog astronaut at the LunAres research station, where he worked with huge organizations like ESA, the University of Zurich, and the University of Florida. This role provided him with invaluable insights into human factors in space exploration and the testing of new technologies in isolated environments. He is looking forward to pursuing a career in renewable energy research, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the future.

Currently, he is a Master’s student in the Environmental and Energy Sciences MSc program at The Cyprus Institute.
