Despoina Markou is a PhD candidate in the Science and Technology in Archaeology Research Center (STARC) at the Cyprus Institute since September 2024. She obtained her BSc in Biological Sciences from RMIT University in Australia in 2016 and her MSc in Biology from the University of Southern Denmark in 2024.
She is interested in exploring the isotopic fingerprint of Cyprus and studying aspects of paleodiet, paleoclimate, human mobility, and the place of origin of artifacts and human remains in the Eastern Mediterranean.
